When Laura and I lost the farm in 2002, we were very bitter and twisted. More than anything, we were seriously ANGRY. We had been accepted into New Zealand and had done all the medicals, qualification conversions etc. All that We knew we had to get out before we did or said something stupid. Something held us back from that final step though. We took a short holiday to South
Africa to collect our thoughts and ended up buying a house on the coast. We moved there at the end of 2002 and spend 10 very happy years by the sea. We started a new business, and all seemed good. We could not settle completely though and felt like something was missing in our souls. I saw an article in the Getaway magazine on the RED CLIFFS at Gonarezhou which we had never seen before and was fascinated. Anyway, long story short we returned to Zim at the end of 2012 and have never regretted it for a second. One of the most remembered highlights of coming home was our first trip to Gonas to see the cliffs. I so remember coming around a corner to this view of the cliffs in front of us. It was just breathtaking in its majesty and we both turned to each other at the same time and IN UNISON, said.
