Description:
Those rocky kopjes must be and always will remain my favorite areas to explore in the Zimbabwean bush. As kids, they could just not be resisted, and not a great deal has changed since then. The challenge of reaching the top first was almost as exciting as being the first one to see the sea on holiday. We climbed and crawled grazed and cut, fell and cried but never did these outcrops lose any of their appeal. The craziest thing of all was that it was done most often without shoes. Barefoot Everest climbers of note we were.
